INFANTS-ADOLESCENTS

Vaccines help your child’s immune system to produce its own antibodies to help protect him or her from specific diseases. Are your child’s immunizations up to date?
Prevnar 20™ is a pneumococcal vaccine that helps protect against 20 types of the bacteria Streptococcus pneumoniae.

Prevnar 20 works by helping the body make its own antibodies against these bacteria. In adults aged 18 years and older, it helps prevent diseases such as pneumonia (lung infection), bacteraemic pneumonia, sepsis or bacteraemia, and meningitis. As with any vaccine, Prevnar 20 will not protect all persons who are vaccinated.
Prevnar® 13 is a pneumococcal vaccine that helps protect against 13 types of the bacteria Streptococcus pneumoniae.

Prevnar 13 works by helping the body make its own antibodies against these bacteria. In children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age, it helps protect against diseases such as bacteraemic pneumonia (lung infection with bacteria in the blood stream), sepsis or bacteraemia (bacteria in the blood stream), meningitis (inflammation around the brain) and ear infections. In children from 6 years to 17 years of age, it helps protect against diseases such as bacteraemic pneumonia, sepsis or bacteraemia, and meningitis. As with any vaccine, Prevnar 13 will not protect all persons who are vaccinated.
